Shaun Farrugia
I have a Graduate Diploma of Education/Graduate Certificate in Religious Education, Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science and have taught as a Grade 6 classroom, Physical Education P-10, Health Education 7-10, Religious Education 7-10, and Media Arts P-6 teacher.
As an innovative and motivated teacher, it is my desire as an educator to help students meet their full potential by providing an environment that is safe, supports risk-taking, and invites a sharing of ideas. I believe that student engagement in the curriculum is essential and can be achieved by accommodating to the vast needs of individual students by using a variety of teaching styles. I strive to be an influential role model to all students that I come in contact with to assist them in becoming quality people with remarkable core values.
I was keen to join the team at Holy Trinity because I am a new resident in Sunbury and I want to become invested in the area and a part of the local community. I am looking forward to growing as a teacher as the school grows. I was born and bred in Bacchus Marsh. I worked in country Victoria (Hamilton) for two years, which was a fantastic experience and a great way to begin my teaching career. I moved back to Bacchus Marsh in 2017 and worked there as well as at Melton West. Outside of school I am interested in exploring new places, participating in sport and other physical activities. I also like watching superhero movies and playing Nintendo video games.
