My name is Ellie Keratianos and I will be joining the teaching team at Holy Trinity in 2025.I have a Major in history, minor in PE and have a bachelor in P-12 education. I finished my uni degree this December and had the amazing opportunity to work at Holy Trinity on a Permission To Teach (PTT) Internship. This means I got to co-teach with another teacher at the school and got invaluable experience that I will carry through with me into my first year of teaching.I got the honour of receiving the “golden key international honour society” award which means that I have graduated in the top 15% of all graduating students. I foster a growth mindset when it comes to teaching and learning, where I encourage my students to embrace challenges, learn from their mistakes, and celebrate their progress My favourite part about being a teacher is that I get to witness growth every single day. Seeing students in your class take strides not only academically, but socially and emotionally is extremely rewarding I knew I wanted to join the team at Holy Trinity by the end of my first week on PTT. The staff are incredible and it’s a place where everyone is made to feel valued and cared for. I’m very much looking forward to having my own class in 2025 and creating a classroom where students feel safe, valued and where learning and creativity can flourish. My teaching journey so far has been incredible. I initially wanted to work in high school but absolutely loved the primary school dynamic. There’s so much fun and laughter in every day, and each day is so different from the last Outside of work I love spending time with my family, and beautiful bunny ‘bear’. My biggest passion is my sport; athletics. I am a 100m sprinter and have been training for 15 years. My goal is to make a world championships team and to win the Stawell gift! #htsunbury #faithhopeunity #togetherasone #newstaffmember ... See MoreSee Less

Yesterday, the 2024 school year came to a close for the children of Holy Trinity. We gathered as a school community for our end of year assembly where we celebrated the achievements of children across all areas of school life, including recognising efforts in Reading, Mathematics Problem Solving, Italian as well as the consistent display of our behaviour values - Safe, Inclusive and Respectful. Congratulations also to MacKillop House Team who was awarded the 2024 House Shield as the best performing House Team throughout 2024. It was a wonderful opportunity to reflect on all of the learning and growth of everyone in our community of Faith, Hope and Unity throughout 2024. #htsunbury #faithhopeunity #TogetherAsOne #EndOfYear2024 ... As our Year 6s conclude their Primary School journey, our 2024 school leaders have passed on the responsibility of leadership by handing over our school candle to the 2025 school leaders. The light of the candle is an important symbol within our Catholic community, symbolising the light of Jesus Christ in our world. We pray that our 2025 school leaders carry this light forward, just as Jesus' disciples did following Pentecost, for the Holy Trinity community in 2025. ... See MoreSee Less
