"My name is Jaimi Surkitt and I am delighted to be joining Holy Trinity in Term 3 as part of the Grade 5 team.![]()
I began my teaching career in 2017 and have been fortunate to work alongside wonderful students and families in Melbourne’s western suburbs. Throughout my career, I have held roles as both a classroom teacher and a leader, developing a particular passion for mathematics education and classroom mindfulness. I am committed to creating engaging and supportive learning environments where every student feels valued.![]()
As a born-and-raised Sunbury local, I am especially excited to be working within the community that has played such an important role in my own life. I believe that strong relationships are the foundation of successful learning and that every child has the ability to thrive when they feel connected, supported, and encouraged.![]()
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, daughter, and our cheeky Border Collie, Maple. As a family, we love exploring new places and creating memories together. When I have some quiet time, you will usually find me curled up with a good book or planning a holiday.![]()

Today, our Preps had some very special help from our fabulous school captains to officially cut the ribbon. Each child designed and built their own addition to the town, learning how to classify their creation as a "need" or a "want."![]()

A huge thank you to our wonderful Year 5 children for stepping in as expert construction assistants! It was so wonderful to see so many families stop by the community hub to visit Tiny Town today. Thank you for your support!![]()

As shared in this weeks newsletter and after listening to our community, we are absolutely thrilled to announce a fresh new look for our school sports uniform. Starting in Term 3, our uniform supplier will be stocking our brand new sports tops, featuring vibrant flashes of our associated House Colours.![]()

These new tops look absolutely fantastic and are a wonderful way for our children to wear their team pride. Not only will they make it much easier for the children to spot and cheer on fellow house members, but they will also bring a beautiful sense of colour and consistency to our special celebration days.![]()

To help families transition, we will be gradually phasing out the original plain sports top, with a goal for all children to be in the new house coloured version by 2028. Keep an eye out for them at the uniform shop next term. We can't wait to see our school community shining in their house colours. ![]()

Through keynote presentations, workshops and networking opportunities, the team will deepen their understanding of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and Positive Behaviour for Learning, bringing valuable insights and practical strategies back to Holy Trinity to further strengthen our commitment to being a Safe, Inclusive and Respectful learning community where every child can thrive.![]()
