Last term in Prep we explored the fascinating world of habitats. We discovered that all animals need food, water, and shelter to survive, and that different animals live in different places that suit their needs best.![]()

Children chose to create a habitat scene from the rainforest, desert, or polar regions. Each artwork includes:![]()

And, where needed, shelter![]()

Through this project, the children developed an understanding of how animals are specially adapted to their environments and why each habitat is unique and important. We hope you enjoy their creative interpretations of these amazing habitats!![]()

G.A.T.E.Ways Plot Twist! program.![]()

It was wonderful to see around 50 children from Holy Trinity engaged in unique and enriching learning experiences beyond the classroom as they participated in the G.A.T.E.Ways Plot Twist! program.![]()

We have heard incredible feedback from the children about their time in the program, from learning about "new and bigger words" to understanding how to "improve your spelling" and the power of alliteration. They told us how much fun it was to explore stories, characters, and even say their names backward!![]()

The program's focus on language and literature clearly resonated with them, with many saying it was a "10 out of 10" and a "wonderful" learning experience. Thank you to the G.A.T.E.Ways team for once again providing our children with such an "amazing" opportunity to learn something different and exciting!![]()
